A sample from EC Aroma isn't a token drop in a vial — it's a working quantity you can bench-trial in your own base, at your own dosage, under your own process conditions. That's the only way to know whether a flavour survives your matrix, and it's why our minimum is 1 kg rather than a token amount.

What to send us
The more context you give, the closer the first sample lands — and the fewer rounds it takes to get to production. Useful details include:
- The exact application and base matrix (e.g. whey protein isolate, clear RTD, hard-boiled confectionery)
- Target flavour profile, or a benchmark product we can match
- Whether you need liquid or powder, and any carrier restrictions (e.g. water-soluble, PG-free)
- Sweetener requirements — unsweetened, or with sucralose, stevia, neotame or advantame
- Regulatory or label requirements relevant to your market
- Expected production volumes, so we can quote realistically

How much does a flavour sample cost?
It depends on the profile and quantity. Tell us what you need and we'll confirm cost and lead time before anything is dispatched — there's no obligation attached to a sample request.
How quickly are samples dispatched?
Samples of existing profiles typically ship within days from our UK facility. Bespoke development samples usually take around two weeks for the first round, depending on the brief.
What information should I include?
Application, base matrix, target profile or benchmark, format (liquid or powder), any carrier or regulatory restrictions, and expected volumes. See the list above.
Can I request a sample matched to an existing product?
Yes — send a benchmark product or flavouring and we'll develop a match, refining through sample rounds until you approve it.
