Direct answers about our food grade flavour concentrates — MOQs, lead times, solubility, bespoke development and compliance.

Food GradeEC 1334/2008 & CLP1 kg MOQUK ManufacturedLiquid & Powder
What is a food grade flavour concentrate?

A highly concentrated flavouring made from flavour compounds carried on a food-safe solvent system, dosed into food, beverage and nutrition products to deliver taste. Dosage depends entirely on the application, the base matrix and the intensity required — we advise a rate for your product and recommend confirming it by bench trial. All EC Aroma concentrates are food grade, with UK/EU flavouring regulation compliance documentation supplied on demand.

What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

1 kg — practical for trials, startups and NPD. Bulk supply is available for production volumes.

Do you offer bespoke flavour development?

Yes — custom flavours from your brief, benchmark matching and reformulation, with confidentiality on developed profiles. First samples typically within two weeks. See bespoke flavour development.

Do you supply liquid and powder flavourings?

Yes, both. Lead times differ by format: liquid flavourings are the fastest to manufacture and dispatch, while powder flavourings take longer due to the additional processing involved. Tell us your format and volumes for a precise lead time.

What's the difference between water soluble and oil soluble concentrates?

Water soluble concentrates disperse cleanly in water-based applications (clear drinks, syrups, powders); oil soluble concentrates suit fat-based applications (chocolate, coatings, baked goods). Using the wrong type causes haze, ringing or flavour loss. More detail on our water soluble concentrates page.

Where are your flavour concentrates manufactured?

At our facility in Runcorn, United Kingdom. UK manufacture means short lead times and no customs risk on repeat supply.

What industries do you supply?

Beverage, food, bakery, confectionery, sports nutrition and industrial manufacturers — UK and export, on trade and wholesale terms.

What documentation do you provide?

Full documentation supplied on demand: specification sheets, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Certificates of Analysis (CoA), allergen statements, UK/EU food flavouring regulatory compliance documentation and supplier questionnaires.

What are your lead times?

Samples usually ship within days. Production lead times depend on format — liquid flavourings dispatch fastest; powder flavourings take longer due to additional processing. Bespoke development timelines depend on the brief.

Can you match an existing flavour?

Yes — send us a benchmark product or flavouring and we'll develop a match, refining through sample rounds until approval.

How should flavour concentrates be stored?

Sealed in original packaging, away from direct light, at 5–20°C. Typical shelf life is 12–24 months unopened depending on profile — see the batch CoA for the specific best-before date. Citrus and other terpene-rich profiles are the most oxygen-sensitive; keep containers tightly closed once opened.

Can I get unsweetened versions of your flavours?

Yes — every profile is available unsweetened for customers who add sweeteners independently, as well as with sucralose, stevia, neotame or advantame systems.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes — we supply manufacturers across the UK, EU, USA, Middle East, Asia-Pacific and worldwide, with the same documentation available for export orders.

Do you supply bulk flavour concentrates and wholesale quantities?

Yes — on trade terms, from 1 kg trial packs up to bulk flavour concentrates for production volumes. As a UK trade flavour supplier that manufactures rather than resells, we hold your specification batch-to-batch as you scale.

How many flavour profiles do you offer?

Our library covers 1,000+ flavour profiles across fruit, dessert, bakery, beverage, confectionery and mint families — browse the range on our flavour concentrates page. If the profile you need isn't there, our bespoke flavour development service can create or match it.
